Requirements:
1. Must Have a UAE valid driving Licence.
2. Able to operate flat bed, 18m, 24m and low bed up to 100 tons.
3. Willing to work flexible hours.
4. Must be polite and professional with client and colleagues.
5. Atleast 2 Year experience
6. PCC is Required
As a [Driver], you will be responsible for the following:
Job Description:
Vehicle Maintenance:
· Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
· Perform minor repairs and maintenance such as bulb replacement, electrical repairs for trailers,
· Conduct daily checks to check oil levels, coolant levels, tyre conditions & tyre pressure, and other fluids (Hydraulic, brake & clutch) greasing.
· Keep the vehicle clean and presentable and do the washing of cabin when required.
· Taking good care of truck interior and exterior, as handed over to receive back from the driver.
· To monitor truck condition and inform the operations in charge on any changes in the truck to conduct preventive maintenance to avoid break downs during the journey.
· If any of the following issues arise, need to inform the operations in charge to take required corrective actions.
o Unfamiliar engine noises,
o vibration from steering,
o steel parts that look weak, damaged or cracked,
o regularly to check engine oil, radiator water, greasing fifth wheel & hub
o Check Tyre pressure regularly
o Tightening tire bolts regularly
Safety Compliance:
· Follow company safety policies and procedures, As mentioned below
· Ensure that drivers are wearing safety gears such as safety shoes, gloves, helmets, high visibility jackets at the loading/ unloading site at all times.
· Ensure that all safety equipment such as fire extinguisher, Hazard triangle, revolving lights, first aid kits are available & in working conditions at all times.
· Ensure that lashing belts, chains and rachets are in good condition at all times.
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
· Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations. Drivers will be held responsible for any fines incurred due to violations, including speeding, seat belt, using phone while driving, wrong parking, driving during ban hours, passing tolls, lights not working, driving OD cargo without police permission, tail gate, no truck entry roads, accident fines.
Reporting:
· To communicate to operations for any concerns or information regarding the truck and trailer condition.
· Driving a truck with awareness of bad condition tires without informing the operations in charge before driving, the driver will be held accountable if tire bursts occur.
· If the tire seems to be punctured due to abuse or carelessness, the driver will be held accountable.
· All assets are to be taken care of and returned as received.
Cargo Handling:
· Ensure that while loading and offloading cargo is placed safely and securely.
· Verify with operations in charge the accuracy of cargo manifests.
· Ensure the cargo is properly secured and complies with weight regulations.
Route Planning:
· Obtain directions from the operations in charge to know about the routes to ensure timely and efficient travel.
· Use GPS devices or maps to navigate routes.
· Inform operations in charge regarding any deviations from the given routes due to traffic conditions and road closures.
· Turnaround time can affect the driver’s trip allowances if does not complete trips in the time frame given to the driver subject to border traffic and procedures and ban timings.
Documentation:
· Maintain accurate records of trips, including travelling time, mileage, fuel consumption, and all expenses pertaining to the trip.
· Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues to the supervisor.
· Complete logbooks and other required documentation.
· The driver is responsible for remaining pages in the passport & passport expiry date, driver’s license expiry date & EID expiry date. Driver must inform the operations in charge at least 1 month before the expiry.
– To always be honest to his colleagues and supervisors.
– Any other responsibilities will be assigned to you by the management.
Driver Behavior:
· Drivers are not allowed to consume alcohol at any time whilst performing the task or within the premises and the company has the right to request to conduct BAC test if required.
Outcomes
· Aim for zero accidents.
· Compliance with UAE & GCC driving regulations. Ensure full compliance to avoid fines and legal issues.
· Accuracy and completeness of driving logs and records. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
· No customers complaints related to driver behavior or service.
· Trip Cost (Diesel cost/ border charges) must be minimized
· Turnaround time must be minimized
· Repairs must be minimized
